Slice of sporting Life: Micheal Andersons first experience with field hockey

It was a bright fall day down at Sodexo field when Micheal Anderson was ready to see what this field hockey team could do against Molloy College. 

He said, “I wasn’t super high on this team coming into the game because I’ve never seen a game before.” 

He was surprised how small the crowd was for the game, but when the team scored their first goal the crowd soared with excitement and Anderson joined in with them. The fast, high paced action made him pay attention more intently.

Anderson said he loved watching the team do great on both sides of the ball. He felt the excitement from this team and it  gave him goosebumps after they scored for a second time. Since it was his first field hockey game, he enjoyed learning about this sport.

The team ended up winning 2-0 and Anderson loved that. After enjoying his first game ever of this sport he said he will return here in the future.  He can’t wait to see how far this team can go down the stretch.
