Think Pink Roller Rink a success

Students gathered and enjoyed a night of roller skating that benefited breast cancer awareness month in Spagnuolo Hall on October 4th for the Think Pink Roller Rink Event.
Students rollerskated under strobe lights, while music played, and got to hangout with their friends. The event hosted by PAC was to raise awareness for breast cancer “During this event we would have accepted donations, but that wasn’t our main priority, as our first was to have everyone remember that October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month,” said Scott Davagian, Treasurer of PAC.
For the Think Pink event, they had a budget of $2500, but were able to move some around to the October 4th event. “The amount we spent on the event was $3,350,” Davagian said.
Davagian said, “For donations we had the community service people tabling throughout the day in the glass foyer.” The donations are being sent to Passion for a Cause, who will continue to raise donations for the rest of the month.
“As PAC we won’t be able to know how much is raised until the end of the month when they choose to release the information,” Davagian said.
