Day in the life: athletics department

Midday, in the athletics department, the noise was at a dull roar due to a football recap meeting.

With the noise being limited, the sound of the printer printing rang throughout. The sound of keys rattling in a pocket was also heard when the men’s ice hockey coach came in to collect the game day sheets for their game this afternoon at 4pm.

Jess Strack, a senior who is the assistant to the athletic department office coordinator said, “All I do is send emails to schools who haven’t gotten game contracts back.”

After the football recap meeting, the office was buzzing with coaches.

However, the talk was not one of positivity due to the gloominess of the day. Winter blues have set in hard in the athletic department.

Across the room, Liz Coll the athletics department office coordinator was booking hotel rooms for the men’s soccer second round matchup tomorrow at 6pm.
