Day in the Life: Head Coach Mark Swasey

The Head Coach Mark Swasey has led the Women’S Basketball team to three wins out of four games played this season.

Coach Swasey has been serving as the coach for the Women’s Basketball team for eight seasons now. In his eighth season, which started back on November 8th, so far Coach Swasey has led the team with a positive results. As the team is full of young students, without the senior athletes, he said, “I think this team will keep improving as long as we prepare and focus on each tasks that are in front of us as the team.”

The team had a training session at three p.m. to prepare game tactics for the away game against Saint Anselm. The eighth season for the Head Coach had been a good start as he has been well prepared with scouting opponents, game tactics against each teams, scheduled practice sessions, and clear skill instruction as he said, “focus.”

Sophia Holmes, Captain of Women’s Basketball team, said, “His basketball IQ is incredible and he is such a level-headed guy and so positive. He really cares about us all…both on and off the court.” The whole team had respected Coach Swasey’s advice on court as everybody listened to the coach during the practice today in the Field House basketball court.

The away game led by Coach Swasey against Saint Anselm will jump off at 1:30 p.m. of November 23rd.
