The library’s quiet Friday atmosphere

The library is very quiet, with several students studying and doing homework. Students look very focused and zoned into their work.

Senior Tommy Nguyen is working at the library circulation desk. According to Nguyen, Fridays are the least busy day of the week. “Mondays and Wednesdays are definitely more crowded,” said Nguyen. “On Fridays, people are usually just coming in and out to print.”

Junior Kiera Duggan can attest to this. Duggan comes to the library every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at this time and is currently here studying for an ecology exam. According to Duggan, the busyness depends on the day of the week. “Mondays and Wednesdays are always busier,” said Duggan.

The only noise downstairs are people asking questions at the reference desk and the printer periodically running. Upstairs, the atmosphere is much more quiet and focused. Most of the students at tables have either a coffee, smoothie, or pastry from the café.
