All quiet at the Library Cafe
by: Cody Roy
The Library Café hit a low during the 10am hour
It had been an “up and down morning,” said barista and senior Jameson Pierrelus, but “pretty much slow.” A lack of specials and start of 10 a.m. classes are likely to have contributed to this, according to Pierrelus.
Despite this, a light coffee smell filled the air, as did the sound of chatter and blenders brewing smoothies.
Jim O’Loughlin’s “CAE in the Café” program was ongoing, as his colleague sat helping a student for much of the hour. A few students stood next to the counter, waiting for their orders before leaving. There, they offered students academic advice and were giving signatures to Center Scholar Program students.
One customer, Experience Director Michelle Bourassa, stood by the counter eating an orange cranberry muffin and “patiently waiting for her drink,” she said.
A few students continued to come and go, but overall the Café remined quiet and still.
