Newsbrief: Deadly earthquake claims nine lives and injures several more

A deadly earthquake has killed nine civilians in Turkey and injured many people in Iran, according to the BBC NEWS.
Seventy-five people were injured and about 43 villages in Iran were destroyed.
The quake was focused on the Iranian city of Khoy and the villages surrounding it. A New York Times article said that three children and four adults were killed in the bascule village.
This earthquake struck at 9:23 (5:53 GMT) in Iran. About 1,066 buildings collapsed said the Turkish interior minister.
“We didn’t understand what happened exactly and we pulled out three bodies,” a villager told Reuters news agency.
The region is very prone to earthquakes and just last month an earthquake killed over 40 people. this particular quake destroyed 25-90 villages.
Turkish media showed video of rescuers digging and families waiting outside in snowy conditions, according to the BBC NEWS.
