Residential Life and event planners were in a frenzy trying to set up events for students on Monday, the first snow day of the semester.

Many activities were provided on campus to keep students busy throughout the day. Students could take part in snow tubing on the Manor lawn, snow day bingo in Spagnuolo Hall, pancakes in Mount Washington along with popsicle stick pictures that could be enjoyed with hot chocolate.

“I am impressed with all the events that were held on campus on Monday,” said sophomore Noah Johnson, who attended bingo night. “It is cool that they can provide so many activities on campus for students on such short notice. I think they did a very good job,” he said.

“Snow tubing was really fun. I never really took advantage of this in the past. I love that the school provides this kind of activity for us,” said a student.

There is a crisis of trust in journalism right now.
Many Americans say they don’t trust the news media
anymore, and poll after poll shows that they want newspapers to be more transparent about how the
news is gathered.
This semester the Exchange is asking its reporters to describe what they did to report the facts, in what
we’re calling a transparency statement. We ask our readers to feel free to use the comment boxes at
the bottom of each article to call them out when the reporters may not have done enough and to
compliment them when you think they’ve done a good job.
I interviewed two separate students on campus about their experience on the snow day due to class cancellations. I attended the Popsicle stick photo event in the lobby of the Glass Foyer along with bingo night.
