Spirit leaders have created first ever field day at Franklin Pierce on April 13th.

For the first time in university history, Franklin Pierce will host various competitions for a field day. To sign up, you need a team of six.

“Spirit leaders, along with Alicia Berry, held a meeting to brainstorm ideas and activities that the whole community can enjoy,” said sophomore spirit leader Carina Dillon. Activities include potato sack race and egg toss.

The goal of this event is to bring the Franklin Pierce community closer together and provide a new way for students to interact with each other. “Field day was an idea created during SALS training at the beginning of the school year as a way to bridge the gap between student athletes and students,”said Dillon.

The event will take place at 3 p.m. at Cheshire Field. Sign ups can be handed in at the information desk at the Glass Foyer. Food will also be provided at the event.

There is a crisis of trust in journalism right now.
Many Americans say they don’t trust the news media
anymore, and poll after poll shows that they want newspapers to be more transparent about how the
news is gathered.
This semester the Exchange is asking its reporters to describe what they did to report the facts, in what
we’re calling a transparency statement. We ask our readers to feel free to use the comment boxes at
the bottom of each article to call them out when the reporters may not have done enough and to
compliment them when you think they’ve done a good job.
Information about field day was found by interviewing Carina Dillon in person. She is currently a spirit leader at Franklin Pierce. Julia Crane was interviewed in person.
