The Adventure Recreation planned to host a power run event to bring awareness of the  humanitarian groups but to the weather, the event has been shifted to November 10th from 10.30 a.m to 12 p.m.

The power run was suppose to happen last Sunday (October 27th). The run consists of 2.5 miles in tough muddy trails around the campus with many obstacles.

Ayodele O’uhuru, Adventure Recreation coordinator, said, “The race started with an idea at one of our weekly meetings back in September. We mapped out the logistics of what we wanted the course to look like and the reality of it actually being possible. Once we came up with the course we decided to start looking for obstacles to put on the course.”

The course starts and finishes at the lakeside of Pearly Pond, through the mud pit, up the manor hill, down a dirt road, onto the trail behind the bubble, then past the beach volleyball court, across Cheshire field, academic triangle and back down the Manor hill to the finish line.

This event is being cosponsored by clubs like SISTUHS, Passion for a Cause, FPTV, and EMS who will provide volunteers to support the event on race day.

Transparency Statement: For this article, I contacted Ayodele O’uhuru, Adventure Recreation coordinator, to ask for information by email since she has such tight schedule. However, she was able to reply with informations I needed for this piece of Campus News even though it was event that was postponed.
