Medical television shows are stepping up in the fight against COVID-19 by donating their medical props to real medical professionals, according to the New York Times.

With a halt in production shows like “Grey’s Anatomy,” “Chicago Med,” “The Resident” and “Station 19” have all donated some of their props to medical personnel.

The shows have been donating surgical gloves and gowns. “Station 19” was able to donate 300 coveted N95 masks to a local fire station.

“[We] have the most cutting-edge medical technology that is real on our show” said Debbie Allen, “Gray’s Anatomy” director, producer and star. “Every week, we have all these supplies. We have stockpiles of it” Said Allen. Donating the excess supplies was a clear move for the staff at “Gray’s Anatomy.”

The fight against COVID-19 is receiving help from wherever it can get it in the efforts to stop the spread. To learn more about what can be done to stop the spread of COVID-19 visit the CDC’s website.
