Registration times for classes have been changed from midnight to 8 a.m. for Franklin Pierce students.
The Registrar was unavailable for comment on this issue. Registration times before the most recent registration period were originally at midnight the day of registration. The Student Government Association (SGA) was responsible for asking for the change. SGA voiced the students’ opinions and concerns about how late they had to stay up to register.
Sophomore Ryan Ducrow said, “I think pushing to 8 p.m would’ve been way better, though I didn’t mind staying up until 12, I know a lot of people have 8 a.m classes and also dont want to get up early to do them.” Although Ducrow is part of SGA he is indifferent with the change.
Sophomore Baleigh Hoyt said, “The only thing I see as an issue is people are in class at 8.” Hoyt is a Community Assistant for New Hampshire Hall. “I don’t think the change is unnecessary. I just think it is going to inconvenience some people.”
