This plan comes after with the discovery of gas off the shore of Egypt.

Sisi plans to modernize Egypt’s oil production, which has been in the works for a while now. With this new discovery, plans can start to turn into a reality.

“I’ve been dreaming about it for four years, that we become a regional hub for energy,” Sisi said.

Egypt will begin the production in the near future.
