Mean Girls movie viewing didn’t cost much
by Jessica Rehm
Thirty five students gathered in Spagnuolo Hall on October 3rd, a day that has officially been named “Mean Girls Day,” for a viewing of the 2004 movie Mean Girls.
“The Mean Girls movie night was a fun little event that we made because one of the quotes in the movie basically created National Mean Girls Day. ‘On October 3rd he asked me what day is was.’ It’s something that we [PAC] wanted to turn into a little movie night,” said Scott Davagian Jr., Treasurer of PAC. The film is popular among teenagers and adults because of the humor, memorable one-liners and quotes.
Since the event was relatively small Davagian says they didn’t have a budget for the movie night. “We didn’t really have a budget for this event per se we sort of just followed through, since it was a pretty small budget event. What we spent on the movie night was $395.”
“We might do this again next year,” Davagian said. “I don’t see why we can’t if we wanted to again.”
PAC hosts multiple types of activities throughout the school year, along with several movie viewings. Davagian said that PAC does have plans for more movie nights, but nothing is specifically planned yet.
