The Fellows of the Pierce Media Group (PMG) held a breakfast tailgate at the last football game this past Saturday to recruit prospective students.
There were 20 students total in attendance. This included five prospective students. With temperatures in the 30’s the Fellows tried to keep everyone warm with pancakes. They also had muffins, pasta salad, and chips with dips for students to snack on.
“The event went really well. It was also discovery day which allowed us to talk with prospective students about the types of activities to be involved with,” said Fellow Alexa Asta.
“RSN was holding their last game which was perfect for students to see firsthand some of the things we get to do,” said Paul Lambert, Politics FitzU Fellow.
The Fitzwater Center will be holding its “Pitch at the Fitz” event next semester. “Pitch at the Fitz” invites all students of any major to pitch a show idea to the PMG.
The Fellows have had a strong semester. Pat Seavey, director of RSN, added to their schedules with the broadcasting of football, soccer, field hockey, and volleyball. Paul Lambert, director of Politics FitzU, has welcomed multiple candidates of the 2020 election as a part of their Pizza and Politics event. Alexa Asta, director of FPTV, has revamped the station channel and started a new show Fridays at 4 p.m.
