Friday night has been quiet for the Campus Safety workers, despite the Winter Weekend coming up.
Usual duties for the Campus Safety is to patrol around the campus and escort the students safely. Matt Allenberg, a worker of Campus Safety, said, “most of our job is to escort students who have been locked out of their halls or room when the fire alarm sets off and for a medical call.” But the main duty for the Campus Safety Workers is to keep the campus quiet, like on weekdays, but are available for students to have fun safely as well. About tonight, Allenberg said, “for a Friday night it has been very quiet, so only things to do is check ups around the campus.”
As referring to the Winter Weekend coming up, the Campus Safety will be patrolling around the campus as usual. Like it was mentioned about tonight, Allenberg said, “we will try and keep the place quiet but let people do what they want while they enjoy their weekend.” According to Allenberg, the Campus Safety will be treating the Winter Weekend that is coming up just like the normal weekends.
