Slice of life: Boring Bubble

Music and sweat flow throughout the bubble as students-athletes and local residents use the facilities.

The bubble was not very busy Friday afternoon.

There was only one student and one adult in the training area. The tennis and basketball courts were empty and so was the lounge upstairs.

I noticed there was a handful of people walking and jogging around the track.

I spoke with a local resident, Annie McAllister, and she said “I love coming here during the day time instead of the evening because it’s less crowded and loud like it can be sometimes.”

Loud music echoed throughout the bubble from the speakers in the Athletes weight room section.

Upstairs was vacated as no one was up in the lounge to enjoy the pool tables, ping pong tables, arcade, etc.
