Over 200 students attended bingo on Friday night April 5th in Spagnuolo Hall.

The students were competing for a smart tv, an Apple watch, a pair of AirPods, a GoPro, and a karaoke machine. In order to win one of these prizes, students had to obtain a bingo in a variety of formats including a Z shape, a square shape, a black out, a double bingo, and a standard straight line bingo.

Winner of the AirPods, FPU football player Cameron Johnson said, “My mom’s birthday is this month, and I was

looking for a present for her, so I didn’t have no money, but I won, I got lucky, I feel good about that.”

If two students shouted bingo at the same time they had to battle it out over a single round of rock paper scissors. All but one of the five rounds of bingo came down to that.

Students also had the opportunity to win bluetooth speakers and VIP tickets to the dirty bird dance through a raffle drawing.

There is a crisis of trust in journalism right now.
Many Americans say they don’t trust the news media
anymore, and poll after poll shows that they want newspapers to be more transparent about how the
news is gathered.
This semester the Exchange is asking its reporters to describe what they did to report the facts, in what
we’re calling a transparency statement. We ask our readers to feel free to use the comment boxes at
the bottom of each article to call them out when the reporters may not have done enough and to
compliment them when you think they’ve done a good job.
In order to write this article I attended the bingo night on Friday. I did not participate in bingo or the raffle. I interviewed one of the winners Cameron Johnson after the event.
