Friedman & Simon scholarship available

The student Financial Services office is rewarding a $1500 academic scholarship sponsored by Friedman & Simon Injury Lawyers to any student who is looking to continue their college career. The deadline for the application is June 15th, 2020.

Friedman and Simon is a highly skilled duo of lawyers who say their interests are in giving their clients exceptional service as well as giving back to the community. Roger Simons, a partner at the law firm, said, “We are all heavily invested in the lives and educations of young people.”

This award is an annual $1500 academic-based scholarship that will go to a student who is looking to further their education at an accredited college or university. Edward Friedman, another partner at the firm, said, “We believe in providing resources to children and young people so they have every advantage available to become successful adults.”

As a way to provide students with resources to continue school the firm created this scholarship. In order to qualify for the scholarship you must meet the following criteria: have a 3.0 GPA, must include unofficial transcript, be enrolled in an accredited university, and submit a 500-1000 word essay on the topics provided.

Transparency Statement: I came across this email in my inbox and I feel like students need to know when scholarships are available. There are students who are in hundreds of thousands of dollars in debt due to student loans. I feel like any little bit counts and this scholarship should be recognized.
