The glass foyer was crowded with students eager to stuff a plush turkey at Frankie P Friday.
Fifty plush turkeys were available for students to stuff at Frankie P Friday. Frankie P Friday usually runs from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m., but this weeks was ran on a first come first serve basis.
The success of Frankie P Fridays depends on several variables, including the theme and how many students are on campus. Stuff a plush usually has great turnouts, according to Alicia Berry, the assistant director of student involvement. “Stuff a plush is usually a fun, cute, popular one, which is why we ordered over 50 turkeys,” said Berry.
Student involvement has provided stuff a plush activities to students in the past, but this is the first year that the vendor offered the option of turkeys, according to Berry. “We ordered the turkeys to get students in the Thanksgiving spirit,” said Berry.
Some students stopped to stuff a turkey on their way down to the dining hall, while others came to the glass foyer just for the activity. Freshman Michelle Porcheddu expressed that she specifically wanted to come to this Frankie P Friday. “I think it’s cool to get in the holiday spirit,” said Porcheddu.
Sophomore Brendan Cerone saw posters for this event earlier in the week and decided to attend when his friend invited him earlier in the day. “I’ve been in the Thanksgiving spirit all week, I can’t wait for break to start and the turkey is adding to the excitement,” said Cerone.
The traffic of students slowed down around 5:30 p.m..
