Megan Barbour-Grissom woke up at 9:00 am on a cold gloomy day.

She walked the long, cold, and wet stretch from C tower to the warm welcoming café. Walking in going to the counter Megan says “Good morning! I need something that will wake me up, but I cannot stand hot coffee even though it’s so cold out, may I please get a large iced peppermint latté with two mocha shots.”

The barista’s eyes widened because of the weather outside and she replied with “yes of course you can, I thought I would have to make hot coffees all day, nice to have a switch up, it will be ready in a couple of minutes.”

Megan happily took her coffee and walked to her first class, intro to assessment in Petro. After her hour class she rushed up the big hill and walked to Marc for her second class of the day, Intro to geography one of her favorite classes. Once I saw Megan after her second class her large iced peppermint latté was empty with nothing but ice and the slurping noise from her straw. “Let’s hit the cafe, I’m starving,” she said. Walking into the cafe with smells of bread-sticks and pizza that lingers on you until you leave. With options of a hamburger and fried fish she goes for the hamburger and add ketchup and pickles.

We enjoyed our Sodexo lunch, she put her plates away and then we walked back to C tower where her authority is to watch over all the rooms in C tower to make sure everything and everyone is running smoothly. Megan is Student Government Association executive secretary as well, and once we got back to our tower she said “Okay Dina, this is where we part ways, I have a lot I need to do for SGA my deadline is tonight, I want to finish it now so I can go home to Hampton and see my boyfriend Trevor, but it was so fun hanging with you today. Stay out of trouble.”
