My goal is to play professional basketball overseas. I just recently signed with an agent to help aid me in the process name Antonio lliev. who is the founder of “Defence Sports” A licensed agency under Fiba. I chose this project because of the realization of playing professionally was possible for me. I created a breakdown film which essentially was my resume for agents to look at and critique as well as professional teams. I wanted to show my athletic ability so I began the video with dunking clips which I think is the most exciting part of basketball. when it comes to basketball I did not want to put any dull moments so there were no free throw shots in the video. for the technical part of the video, I just cut the video and faded to black for edits. and an expert helped me out with that as well its important to get feedback from experts. after I made the video I searched up license agents online and sent out my video. I also followed up with messages to see if they were interested and ask questions and ended up getting a phone call which allowed me to get a signed contract with an agent. My advice is to always treat yourself and your work professionally do your research and apply the information and tools that you will be giving throughout the upcoming years, they work if you work as well. best of luck to you on your academic progress coming up.

I really enjoyed your highlight reel. It not only shows your basketball ability but the production of it is very well done and is great for its purpose. The music is not distracting to what is happening in the film and the fade from each clip makes it easy to watch. It is broken up within the video by category, which is nice to make it clear what the viewer is watching, no matter their basketball experience. This video definitely shows off your ability to play basketball and I hope that your are successful with your future basketball career, and I am glad that the basketball team was able to have a full season.

This highlight video was great to watch. I watch a lot of sports highlights and a lot can be dull or too regular. This video really highlighted you’re specific skills and it felt much more like a breakdown of you as a player rather than just a compilation of your best plays. The music also suited the video well. It’s been great watching you play over the past couple years and I wish you the best of luck overseas!
Hey Doyin, I loved the highlight tape, I know that this will help you sign a contract to play overseas if you haven’t already done so. As someone who has made a lot of highlight reels for people in the past as well for myself, this one is very strong. I think that it showed a lot about you as a player, both offensively and defensively which shows youre very well rounded and not one dimensional, which is what coaches are looking for these days. Good luck with basketball in the future, and keeping killing it overseas!

I thought your video not only showcased your ability on the court but also your video editing skills. I thought the information and the clips that you included really showcased what you are capable of. I also agree with Magnolias where she mentioned that your music fit well with out taking away from the video its self. In your write up though you have some capitalization errors that you might have missed and will be a quick fix. Hope this video gets you some offers!
